What you'll do...Manager, Product Development

As a Private Brands Manager, Product Development, you'll serve as an advocate for our customers and see the products you develop, from ideation to finished product review, come to life in stores and online. This is an opportunity to develop products for Walmart customers, offering great value and product quality. You'll be the expert for Private Brand products within your categories of responsibility and leverage the scale and access of the Walmart system to truly impact the business and the lives of millions of customers worldwide. Along the way, you'll be guided by our deep-rooted culture with the support and tools you need to do your best work.

  • You have a passion for developing products and attention to detail on who our core Walmart customer is
  • A strong influencer and problem solver who enjoys working with cross functional partners who also have a key role to play in your Product Development process
  • Enjoy learning about the latest trends, products, and your market
  • You are data savvy: you can analyze performance, understand trends, and translate results into product and brand execution
  • You are tenacious, dedicated and thrive working with ownership, autonomy, and a healthy dose of competition
  • You have 5+ years of experience in Fashion Product Development, Production, Sourcing and Raw Materials
  • A self-starter and can perform all product development actions independently
  • You can lead as a voice of the customer in product development reviews, cost negotiation, and cross-functional forums
  • Can proactively lead sourcing and country of origin strategies
  • You can lead optimization of complex workflows across design, development, sourcing, and vendor touch points
  • Anticipates bottlenecks and adjust proactively to maintain calendar adherence and product quality
  • Champion of operational rigor to adopt best practices in PLM, 3D, AI insights

You'll make an impact by:
  • Collaborating to assist in setting the category strategy for Private Brands: you'll assist with strategy development, through deep customer understanding, market trends and industry knowledge
  • Building relationships: you'll use your influencing and leadership skills to build partnerships with suppliers, merchants, business partners and other Private Brand team members
  • Influence decisions: you'll collaborate with merchants to influence decisions about nearly every aspect of your products including replenishment, supply chain, manufacturers, store operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, modular, and pricing
  • Delivering on Key Business metrics: You'll work with Sourcing to deliver quality products whilst ensuring key business metrics are achieved
  • Knowing your category: You'll know your private brand customers and suppliers better than anyone and are always thinking about what is next for your business
  • Quality: Quality will be a constant area of focus, both in continuous improvement but also in maintain business required systems and protocols.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
