We have an opportunity for a Manager, Contracts who will support the Undersea Systems Production Program Area within the Naval Systems and Sustainment Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. In this highly visible role, you'll provide contractual guidance and support to the business, programs and proposal teams and across all phases of the contract lifecycle and the candidate should be able to adapt to a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage approximately 1 - 2 Contracts Professionals
  • Front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration
  • Lead change management initiatives that recognize and eliminate ambiguities or unauthorized changes that could result in cost overruns, schedule delays, and performance issues
  • Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Manage customer relationships and advise Program Management on Raytheon's contractual rights and obligations
  • Provide contracts leadership to a cross functional team to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and drive closure on complex contractual matters

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • Experience working with various contractual documents, such as Letters, Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Leadership experience working with teams

  • Experience working multiple priorities to completion in a time sensitive environment with minimal supervision and handle tasks autonomously
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to foster teamwork and trust both internally and externally
  • Display an advanced understanding of business relationships and contract structures
  • Experience brokering internal and/or external solutions to complex program, contract, or financial problems that have general impact on annual operating plan (AOP) performance
