Vendor Replenishment Buyer - Kroger (Remote - Cincinnati, OH) The Sr. Customer Insights Analyst is responsible for Identifying and articulating fact based business opportunities internally and externally, analyzing marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between promotional actions and financial outcomes to increase profitability, and traveling to corporate headquarters, other retail accounts and meetings as needed. Essential Functions • Support sales team with key marketing insights, sales trends and category data from 84.51 • Identify and articulate fact based business opportunities internally and externally • Deliver well thought out and constructed business and shopper solutions in various beverage categories • Lead discovery and dissemination of new shopper insights • Build category management capabilities and expertise around merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving • Generate and analyze weekly, monthly and annual Kroger POS reporting to the Kroger team and the broader company • Works with Nielsen Analyst for syndicated data pulls and utilizes other research tools as needed to help complete the selling story and business objectives for the Niagara sales team with a focus on Niagara brand and private brand opportunities • Create POS and syndicated ad hoc reporting as needed • Provide post-promotional analysis for Niagara and competitive promotional programs conducted at Kroger and in key competitive retailers • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between promotional actions and financial outcomes to increase profitability • Manage market segmentation, targeting, and positioning exercises as needed • Attend meetings with the Director of Sales for Kroger regularly to better understand account objectives, beverage opportunities while developing a strong partnership with the Kroger category management team • Travel to corporate headquarters, other retail accounts and meetings as needed • Creates presentation friendly materials ranging from dunnhumby generate reports to Excel worksheets and PowerPoint • Makes strategic brand, pricing, assortment and merchandising recommendations to Senior Marketing Manager, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Directors and EVP of Sales & Marketing • Ability to share customer insights with sales team and teach them how to share with their retailer • Negotiate contracts with vendors including NCH, 84.51, Pinpoint data • Identify key strategic partners that will assist in Niagara’s growth • Collaborate with sales team and brokers to build semiannual Business Reviews with Kroger • Be the Customer Insights expert sharing knowledge with team and facilitating learning sessions to broaden the customer insights knowledge across the business • Lead KAB partnership program • Coordinate program • Organize retailer list for affiliates • Serve as the primary contact to the customer for all shopper marketing related activities such as research, insights, and development and execution of shopper marketing plans. • Develop customer-specific insights-based shopper solutions • Work cross functional with partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Legal to implement customer specific plans • Has a deep understanding of how shoppers behave in different channels, formats, and customers • Active shopper insights to grow Niagara sales • Develop strong relationships with customer(s) in order to understand the retailer’s core strategies and then build marketing plans that work to deliver both on customer and brand objectives • Deliver Shopper programs that drive category growth by understand brand positions, category drivers and shopper insights • Ensure that all shopper activity is in line with current brand positioning and, whenever possible, is also activating against brand big ideals • Work with Brand Manager to build the annual calendar of shopper activations across all steps of the shopper path to purchase • Work with the Customer Insights (84.51) to target and persuade the right Niagara shoppers • Build marketing plans based on consumer/shopper insights and category insights • Manage the shopper marketing budget and shopper agency deliverables at the customer level • Bring external thought to the team about best practices in shopper marketing • Attend industry conferences • Support development of plans to win in digital with the retailers through ecommerce, media and personalization • Manage and optimize digital and in-store offers and campaigns and execute digital test and learns Qualifications • Minimum Qualifications • 4 Years – Experience
