Delta System & Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cerner HIM Trainer/Consultant with expertise in Health Information Management workflows and Cerner HIM applications. The role involves delivering training, supporting HIM operations, and providing functional expertise across Cerner HIM solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs related to Health Information Management (HIM) processes and Cerner applications
  • Conduct onboarding, refresher, and role-based training sessions for healthcare staff and HIM users
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance on HIM workflows, medical record management, and documentation standards
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Quality, HIM Operations, and IT teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
  • Maintain training documentation, knowledge repositories, and training reports
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend process improvements and training initiatives
  • Support audit activities, quality improvement programs, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Assist with Cerner HIM application configuration, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization

Skills

  • Prior experience working with Cerner HIM solutions in a healthcare environment
  • Strong understanding of Health Information Management processes and workflows
  • Experience with build, configuration, and support of the following Cerner HIM modules: RRD, EMPI, Access HIM / Profile HIM, CPDI, Patient Portal, Clinical Reporting
  • Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, medical terminology, coding standards, and HIPAA regulations
  • Previous training, instructional design, or end-user education experience preferred
