Position: Intern, Marketing – Content Strategy

Location: Remote

Pay rate: $22/HR

Start Dates: May 24th or June 7th (10 week program)

As part of our Emerging Talent Program, our internships focus on providing an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed in order to align their passions with their work.

2021 Summer interns will be eligible to apply for a fulltime position in our newly created Rotational Management Program launching mid-2022 designed to support a diverse talent pipeline and build our future inclusive leaders. Applicants who are hired will be offered a role in one of the three participating functions of Marketing, Merchandising, Inventory Management and work in each of these areas learning our core business processes and store operations. More information on the Program experience and application process will be available later this year.

Your role at Sephora:
As a Content Strategy Intern, you will:

  • Analyze the social and influencer competitive space to assist the team in understanding how other retailers and brands are approaching influencer marketing and identify opportunities to evolve our strategy.
  • Assist with data collection and social reporting.
  • Assist with the QA and social publishing process by ensuring we have all the assets needed to post, identifying product sku #s, Instagram tagging in the calendar, creating shoppable links, and scheduling pins.
  • Assist with coordination and tracking of influencer seedings
  • Validate accuracy of sampling plans by brand
  • Participate in social and video brainstorms to share ideas and a fresh perspective, like the ongoing support of our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Partner with Social Content Team to prep for content creation with brands and founders, and for TikTok and Instagram Reels content
  • Gain experience in e-commerce excellence assisting with the optimization of product pages across the many worlds of Sephora Collection including Makeup, Skincare, Hair, Accessories and Wellness
  • Network with industry leaders and peers. Our Sephora executives are committed to investing in our interns and want to hear from you. Interns can expect to attend meetings with top leaders in the company.
  • Get exposure to cross-functional teams. Sephora has a highly collaborative culture so you are encouraged and expected to work closely with other related teams such as Brand Marketing, Merchants, Campaign and Content & Media.

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Business and/or Communications) and is currently a junior in credit hours
  • Candidate must exhibit the following skills and/or experience:
  • Interest in Influencer & Social Marketing
  • Prior work experience in a marketing related field
  • Strong interest in beauty and beauty marketing
  • Proficient in relevant social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter and emerging channels
  • Have an interest in learning how to be a more inclusive leader and ally.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by involvement in organizations, community involvement, sports, and other activities.
