Purpose Science & Medicine Group (SMG) is looking for a dynamic Marketing Specialist to help run marketing for its Insights business unit that provides custom market research services and syndicate market research reports. SMG has aggregated the most credible market research brands throughout the life sciences, imaging diagnostic, and laboratory diagnostics to provide over 700 customers with a comprehensive solution to accelerate their decision making. The Marketing Systems & Campaign Specialist is a tactical, hands-on role for a B2B marketer who’s comfortable building campaigns, writing copy, managing and optimizing our HubSpot and Salesforce systems to support lead generation and sales/marketing alignment. Your primary goal will be to drive lead generation, streamline workflows, help ensure Hubspot and Salesforce work effectively together to support our processes, and to assist the Marketing Director. • Role is NOT a Fit If You** • Have only used HubSpot for sending one-off emails or newsletters, and/or social media post scheduling • Primarily worked in Pardot, Marketo, another Marketing Automation tool other than HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud with limited HubSpot execution • Hold HubSpot certifications but lack recent, hands-on experience and campaign builds • Are looking for a strategy-only, manager-level, or people-lead role • Have not worked directly with attribution, segmentation, and reporting in HubSpot • Prefer to hand off execution rather than owning campaigns end-to-end This role requires daily, hands-on HubSpot execution and comfort thinking in systems—not just assets. Responsibilities Responsibilities adjust to organization/department needs, but typically align to the following: • Build and schedule marketing campaigns in HubSpot that integrate with SalesForce • Build and maintain Hubspot workflows to support lead management, routing, and automation • Support property mapping, lead flow optimization, and syncing between Hubspot and Salesforce • Troubleshoot sync issues and help ensure clean, accurate data between systems • Draft marketing copy for emails, blogs, social posts, and event promotions • Set up and gate assets with forms, landing pages, and CTAs in HubSpot • Design simple visuals in Canva and repurpose assets across campaigns • Support webinar promotions and logistics across email and social • Manage contact lists, campaign tracking, and basic Salesforce tasks • Assist with marketing analytics, attribution tagging, and report pulls • Coordinate with analysists and product teams to support report launches • Follow brand voice and marketing templates for each Insight brand • Coordinate trade show attendance, accommodation, and award ceremonies. Requirements Skills & Competencies Must Have Skills For This Role Include • Proven experience in HubSpot (email builds, forms, CTAs, workflows, system integration settings) with the ability to build workflow automations, lead routing, and support Salesforce integration. • Familiarity with Salesforce (comfortable supporting data syncs, property mapping, and basic administrative tasks) • Ability to implement and optimize system configurations based on defined sales and marketing processes • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive messages for email, blog, and social content • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to juggle multiple campaigns • Comfortable working across multiple brand and product lines • A quick learner with excellent problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) • 3-5 years’ experience with proven success in B2B marketing, including campaign creation, marketing automation and system configuration • Hands on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce • Tech stack familiarity including HubSpot, Salesforce, arenaflex Analytics, Sales Navigator, Asana, Zoom Webinars, and Canva • Experience in market research and/or life science or medical diagnostics, a plus Additional Info • Rare domestic travel FLSA Status (U.S. employees only): Exempt EOE: We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
