Duties

  • Assist with preparing surfaces for flooring installation using hand tools and power tools.
  • Support senior installers in laying tiles, carpeting, hardwood, or laminate flooring according to project specifications.
  • Learn to read schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation.
  • Help with site preparation tasks such as demolition, surface leveling, and moisture mitigation.
  • Participate in floor care activities including buffing, cleaning, and maintenance to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Aid in the installation of fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, and cabinet setups as needed for complete room finishes.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in construction trades with a focus on flooring installation and related fields.
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety protocols.
  • Willingness to learn about tile laying, caulking, carpentry, restoration industry practices, and fixture installation.
  • Good physical stamina for standing, lifting materials, and working at heights or on uneven surfaces. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your knees for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with experienced tradespeople.
