Experienced Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist<br><br><b>Company:</b><br>The Boeing Company<br><br>The Boeing Company's Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization is currently seeking an <b>Experienced </b><b>Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist</b> to join our Information, Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) team. This position may be based in <b>Mesa, AZ</b>;<b> Everett, WA</b>; <b>Seattle, WA</b>; <b>Hazelwood, MO</b>; <b>Englewood, CO</b>; <b>North Charleston, SC; </b>or<b> Wichita, KS</b>.<br><br>As a Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Specialist, you will own end-to-end procurement activities including, but not limited to, early engagement with stakeholders, sourcing strategy development, RFP authoring, proposal analysis, terms and conditions negotiation, and purchase orders. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, experience in supplier negotiations, and an established record of managing supplier relationships with mutually beneficial outcomes.<br><br>Indirect Supply Chain IDT&S is a multi-dimensional organization where you will work with peers, colleagues, and executives in other functions on exciting sourcing and contract management initiatives. We pride ourselves on performance and quality.<br><br>In this role, you will have the following responsibilities related to IT software, infrastructure, or services.<br><br><b>Position Responsibilities:</b><br><ul><li>Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and market offerings</li><li>Develop source selection, negotiation, and contracting strategies that satisfy customer needs</li><li>Negotiate long-term agreements (terms and conditions)</li><li>Create and oversee strategic contracts</li><li>Engage in stakeholder and contract lifecycle management</li><li>Support the development and implementation of category strategies</li><li>Demonstrate strong business and financial insight</li><li>Recommend and implement supply chain process improvements</li><li>Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and develop implementation plans</li><li>Support and collaborate with strategic Boeing subsidiaries</li><li>Ability to travel 25% of the time if located outside of Wichita, KS</li></ul><br><br><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b><br><ul><li>3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or contracts</li><li>1+ years of experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts</li></ul><br><br><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b><br><ul><li>3+ years of experience negotiating, interpreting, and editing terms and conditions leveraging the support of a contracts team</li><li>3+ years of experience collaborating with IT suppliers and negotiating IT contracts</li><li>3+ years of experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements</li><li>Project leadership skills and the ability to build positive working relationships</li><li>Professional verbal and written communication skills, frequently leveraged when presenting to all levels of an organization</li><li>Experience with SAP Ariba and/or Oracle</li></ul><br><br><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b><br><br>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.<br><br><b>Pay & Benefits:</b><br><br>At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
