Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Senior Unity Software Engineer to of skilled professionals. As a Senior Unity Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for the administration, planning, and execution of game frameworks, as well as providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior designers. You'll work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to drive features from initial concept to completion, and collaborate with head-level architects to define technical details for large systems. Key Responsibilities Work on key interactivity and engine elements independently or in a leadership capacity over a small, cross-disciplinary team Collaborate with head-level architects to define technical details for large systems Support project leads and fill in as needed for project meetings, sharing information and updates as necessary Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality Create and update feature documentation, maintaining a shared library of tech and interaction documentation Independently design and implement key systems and ongoing gameplay features Demonstrate expertise/ownership in at least one significant area of the codebase Mentor, motivate, and inspire other engineers Assist in guiding or leading cross-disciplinary discussions to drive features from initial concept to completion Embody reliability, accountability, and exceptional skill in all business-related interactions Collaborate with head-level specialists to drive coding standards and best practices for the division and project team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in software engineering, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Technical Requirements High-level programming skills within the relevant development environment(s) Ability to fairly assess code as part of a formal review process and effectively communicate opportunities for improved performance, stability, and reliability Ability to build and maintain effective relationships within the engineering team and other development verticals Demonstrated fundamentals of leadership, including clear and proactive communication and coordination, meeting facilitation, and oversight of small cross-disciplinary initiatives Able to handle multiple, competing tasks and be self-motivated to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment Positive attitude and ability to receive and give constructive and useful feedback Excellent organizational skills Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates with a strong background in software engineering, mathematics, or a related field. You should have a degree in one of these areas, or equivalent work experience.
