Overview


We're seeking a hands-on Data Services – Technical Lead to drive technical projects and guide our talented team of data engineers and analysts.

This role combines technical project management with team leadership, ensuring we deliver high-quality data solutions to our diverse client base across industrial and enterprise sectors.


You'll be the translator between our clients' needs and our team's technical capabilities, managing projects from scope to delivery while mentoring team members and maintaining our high standards of excellence.

What You'll Do

Lead Project Delivery

Manage multiple data projects simultaneously, from initial scoping through final delivery
Coordinate with data engineers, analysts, and clients to ensure alignment on objectives
Track project timelines, budgets, and resources using tools like
Document requirements, maintain change logs, and facilitate client meetings
Provide hands-on technical support when needed

Guide the Technical Team

Mentor junior data engineers and analysts in best practices
Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards
Help team members grow their skills in Power BI, MS Fabric, Azure, SQL, and emerging AI tools
Foster collaboration between team members on complex projects
Report team metrics and project status in biweekly meetings

Drive Technical Excellence

Stay current with data technologies
Contribute to solution architecture and technical decision-making
Help develop reusable frameworks and best practices
Support proposal development with technical writing and scoping

Technical Skills

What We're Looking For

Proven expertise in leading Data Warehousing and Analytics efforts, including designing and building data pipelines to transform transactional data into star schema models, and developing governed analytical data models to support accurate, efficient, and scalable data analysis

Experience with data platforms:
Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS, DBT, Snowflake, SQL Server
Familiarity with industrial systems (OSI PI, Ignition) is a plus
Understanding of AI/ML applications in business contexts
Ability to write technical documentation and reports

Leadership & Soft Skills

3+ years managing technical projects or teams
Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping balls
Collaborative mindset with a drive for results

Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in client-facing project delivery
PMP certification is a plus but not required
