<h2>Overview</h2> <p>The Data Analyst identifies and develops opportunities to leverage data from enterprise systems to support compliance activities, detect emerging trends in payment collections and taxpayer behaviors, and recommend systemic solutions. This role is responsible for designing and executing analytical approaches, documenting methodologies and results, and validating models to ensure they are robust, accurate, and ready for transition to appropriate organizational functions for operational use.</p> <p> </p> <p>This position aligns with Cayuse’s core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Adaptability, and Integrity by fostering technical solutions that meet customer needs, promoting teamwork, and prioritizing quality in deliverables.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Meet with clients to understand their business needs, define research objectives, identify data sources, and develop analysis plans.</li> <li>Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to proactively identify and develop solutions for clients’ business challenges.</li> <li>Conduct exploratory data analysis using large-scale client data sources, and develop briefings and reports to communicate key findings to colleagues and clients.</li> <li>Collaborate with teams of data scientists to build pipelines for data engineering and machine learning.</li> <li>Work with teams of software developers to build tools for data visualization and analysis.</li> <li>Develop recommendations based on completed research and analysis and present these recommendations to clients.</li> <li>Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to stakeholders with both technical and non-technical backgrounds.</li> <li>Take ownership of tasks and produce high-quality work products with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years of professional experience</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience with data structures, foundational statistical concepts, and analytical methodologies</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience developing and presenting data-driven findings and recommendations.</li> <li>Public Trust Clearance is required.</li> <li>Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.</li> <li>Must be able to pass a background check.
