As a Cyber Security Professional Splunk Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping our cyber security landscape and protecting our assets from emerging threats. Position Overview We're looking for a seasoned Splunk Engineer to join our cyber security group and support the event management team. As a Cyber Security Professional Splunk Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Splunk SaaS platform, expanding log collection across a large hybrid environment, and ensuring vital events are logged and collected centrally in the SIEM. Key Responsibilities Guide Splunk deployments, data collection best practices, and lead troubleshooting efforts for Splunk Enterprise environments, including SaaS and cloud infrastructure. Design and implement Splunk installations from the ground up, including various server roles (Search Head, Indexers, Heavy Forwarders, and Universal Forwarders). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Splunk with other security tools and systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation for Splunk configurations, data collection, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide expert-level support for Splunk-related issues and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. Qualifications Essential Qualifications 2-4 years of hands-on experience administering enterprise security tools. 2+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and performing functional testing and data validation in a Splunk environment. Sophisticated knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure). Strong understanding of cyber security principles, threat analysis, and incident response. Preferred Qualifications Splunk Certified, CISSP, or other relevant certifications. Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, etc.).
