This role involves managing compliance initiatives, conducting legal research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and support business objectives.</p><p></p><p><b>What You'll Do:</b></p><ul><li>Lead and support regulatory and legal compliance initiatives in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Advise on U.S. laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and relevant state/local requirements.</li><li>Review and provide compliance guidance for product development, operational practices, and platform enhancements.</li><li>Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.</li><li>Conduct legal research and deliver clear, concise written analyses.</li><li>Collaborate with external counsel, vendors, and customers on compliance matters.</li><li>Identify and mitigate potential legal risks related to company practices and policies.</li><li>Partner with Product and Operations teams to develop and maintain compliance policies and SOPs; assist with audits and remediation.</li><li>Document compliance decisions and maintain team resources.</li><li>Support sales and customer-facing teams through calls, webinars, and RFP responses.</li><li>Perform additional compliance projects as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You'll Need to be Successful:</b></p><ul><li>2+ years of experience in U.S. legal and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Familiarity with FCRA, FTC, and CFPB regulations.</li><li>Working knowledge of employment background screening requirements.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree required; JD or equivalent legal education preferred.</li><li>Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication, including virtual presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to apply independent judgment and creative problem-solving.</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects with precision.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li><li>Commitment to integrity, curiosity, and continuous learning.</li></ul><p></p><p><span><span><span><b>Why First Advantage is Your Next Big Career Move  </b><br>First Advantage is going through a technology transformation!
